Description

The whole round bale, inside a slow-feed net, with no feeder to buy. The NAG Bag Round Bale Bag is a full bag the bale sits inside. Tip the bale, work the bag over it, stand it up, and the herd eats through the mesh instead of pulling flakes out and standing on them.

Who it is for

  • One to three horses with no tractor and no ring.
  • Small paddocks where a ring will not fit.
  • Anyone who wants slow feeding on a round bale without the $1,000 feeder.

Which mesh

1.5" for most horses, 2" for bigger horses or coarse hay, 2.75" for cattle and drafts. The mesh guide has the full table.

Honest note

Choosing the right mesh size makes a real difference — too small and your horse gets frustrated, too large and you lose the slow-feeding benefit altogether. Match the net to your horse's size, temperament, and hay type for the best result.
