Hay Feeders & Slow Feed Nets
Every hay feeder and slow feed net we sell, we use on our own place outside Sherwood Park. Poly hay rings for round bales, NAG Bag nets for every bale size, and the panels and pipe kits that hold it all together. Made in Canada, shipped from Alberta.
Start with how you feed
- Round bales in a paddock: the Adjustable Poly Hay Ring with net. Waste drops from 30–50% to 2–4%. Ponies, minis, goats and sheep get the 24" Mini.
- Square bales: the Small Square Bale Bag, Three-Tie Bag or Large Square Bale Bag, sized to the bale.
- Flakes in a stall or trailer: the Hanging Bag, Day Bag or Trailer Bag. The EZ Fill mounts to the wall and loads from the top.
- A ring you already own: the Net Topper is the net only, and a pipe kit mounts it.
Which mesh size
1.5" for most horses. 2" for bigger horses, coarse hay, or cold weeks when you want them eating more. 2.75" for cattle, drafts and mixed herds where waste control matters more than slowing. 1" for a hard keeper on a diet. What loose feeding costs you
A round bale fed on the ground loses a third of itself to trampling, soiling and wind. On 20 bales a winter that is $600 to $1,000 that never went into a horse. Poly ring or steel ring
Poly for horses, every time. No bars to trap a leg, nothing to rust, and the panels give when the herd leans instead of bending. One person moves it without tools. Steel is fine for polled cattle with a loader. The full comparison is in Poly vs Metal Hay Rings.
Sizing and shipping
Measure three bales across before you order a ring; if they are all 7 ft or under, take the 7 ft. Nets are sold by ring diameter, so measure the ring, not the bale. Rings ship by freight from Sherwood Park, Alberta, quoted at checkout by postal or ZIP code. Nets ship as parcels across Canada and the US. Not sure?
