Description
Ring and net included. An AGI adjustable poly hay ring with NAG Bag slow-feed netting fitted. Feed a round bale off the ground, keep the horses on the outside, and stop paying for hay that ends up in the mud.
The hay math
A round bale fed loose on the ground loses 30–50% to trampling, soiling and wind. Inside a ring that drops to 2–4% a bale. On 20 bales a winter at $80–$140 a bale, that is $500–$1,200 a year that never went into a horse. The ring is a one-time buy at $1,050.95, so on most places it pays for itself in the first winter.

Measure a few of your bales first. If your bales are 7 ft across or smaller, take the 7 ft ring. Panels adjust to tighten around a smaller bale, and you can add a single panel later if you change balers.

- 1.5": most horses. Slows eating without frustrating them.
- 2": bigger horses, coarser hay, or barns that want the bale gone in a few days.
- 2.75": cattle, drafts, and mixed herds where waste control matters more than slowing.

Setup is one person, no tools, about five minutes. Works for horses, cattle, ponies, minis, sheep and goats. For small stock under 24" at the shoulder, see the Mini 24" ring.

Questions we get
Will a horse get a leg stuck? There are no bars to trap a leg. The panels are solid poly with rounded edges.
Does the net slow them down too much? With 1.5" or 2" mesh a bale that used to last four days lasts six to seven, and the horses have hay in front of them the whole time. Nobody bolts, nobody stands around with an empty gut.
Can I use it without the net? Yes. Use it as a plain ring and add the net later.
Can cattle use it? Yes, with 2.75" mesh. Horned cattle are fine with the open top.
Will it crack at −30? The poly is UV-stabilized and built for Alberta winters. We run ours year-round.
What if I already have a ring? Buy the net only and a pipe kit.

Recycled poly, not steel
No rust, no sharp edges, no bent panels after one winter. The poly flexes on impact and comes back — steel rings don't.
Adjustable to your bale
Panels bolt together to fit 5, 6 or 7 ft bales. Add a panel later if your bales grow — the ring grows with you.
Safe around legs and necks
Smooth rounded rim with no gaps to trap a hoof or halter. Horses feed over the top, exactly how a feeder should work.
